Mark has an Associate of Arts Degree from Black Hawk College, Moline, IL with a primary focus on music. During the first years of his upper level study, Mark was a music education major at St. Ambrose College. Additional studies include sessions with English guitarist Robert Fripp and a master class with Indian sitarist Ravi Shankar (mentor to George Harrison). Mark is considered to be one of the top teachers in the Midwest conducting private lessons -- a veteran of guitar, bass, mandolin, and music theory since 1984 with added experience from playing in local bands and touring the Midwest.
